The father of hockey's greatest player is coming to Cornwall in April.

Walter Gretzky will coach a team of Hockey Hall of Famers and Stanley Cup winners at the Cornwall Civic Complex, that will faceoff against a local law enforcement team to benefit Special Olympics.

The announcement was made Wednesday by the Cornwall Police Service.

In addition to the game, fans will be treated to a skills competition featuring the world-class players and some on-ice practical jokes.

As presenting sponsor, Scotiabank also gives one lucky fan the chance to win a $2,500 investment product in the ‘Scotiabank Shoot for Cash’ between periods.

The game will take place Sunday, April 7 at Cornwall Civic Complex at 2 p.m.
