CORNWALL, Ontario – The South Stormont Peewee C Selects delivered an electrifying performance at the annual Brockville Minor Hockey Association Legion Memorial Peewee Tournament.

The South Stormont Peewee C Selects.

A group of 24 teams invaded Brockville rinks on Jan. 24 to 26.

The Selects blew past their competition with ease, earning three consecutive wins and shutouts.

Their undefeated streak continued with a 1-0 victory in the semi-finals against familiar competitors, the North Glengarry-Stormont Braves, adding another shutout to the pile.

In their fifth match in three days, the Selects threw everything they had at the South Grenville Peewee C Rangers.

A 3-3 tie pushed the match into an epic battle for gold. After five intense periods of overtime, the Rangers scored with 45 seconds remaining to secure the championship.

"We still came home with a silver cup," said proud Selects' hockey mom Erica Bryan.
