CORNWALL, Ontario – Win or lose, every wrestler who steps into the ring for charity is a champion.

Payne, Mecca Pro Wrestlin champion.

Mecca Pro Wrestling (MPW) presents ‘Fight for Equality,’ a fundraising event to benefit Community Living Glengarry, on March 8 at the Agora Catholic Centre in Cornwall.

“Don’t miss this adrenaline-fueled spectacle for a great cause,” said Randy ‘The Rage’ Berry, MPW founder and wrestler.

Over 20 independent pro wrestling stars will square off in nine hard-hitting matches, and a battle royale. The main event of the evening will pit the popular American Barbarian in a rematch against the newly crowned MPW champion, Payne.

Former friends The Rage and 'Joey Valentyne' are set to collide for the very first time since their fallout in November. Tag Team Champions ‘The Incredible Hunks,’ ‘Pound for Pound’ champion Derric Hamilton, 'Persephone Vice,’ and ‘KL Shock’ are also among the top names confirmed for Fight for Equality.

This marks the third installment of the TVCogeco tapings for MPW.

“Absolutely 100 per cent of the proceeds collected from this event will be donated to Community Living Glengarry,” said Berry.

Those interested in fighting the good fight without actually jumping in the ring are encouraged to sponsor the event or help out with a donation.
