CORNWALL, Ontario - A former NHL tough guy who made a career out of beating people up will headline an amateur boxing night for a local charity.

Chris 'Knuckles' Nilan will speak at the Agape Centre's boxing night, June 14.

Nilan won a Stanley Cup with the Montreal Canadiens in 1986 and also spent time with the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers.

The Agape fundraiser will take place at Nav Centre in Cornwall and will feature Quebec and Ontario boxers going toe-to-toe to help raise money to combat hunger among the needy.

Cornwall’s own Tony Luis, Quebec Boxing Council lightweight champion, will provide commentary during the event and David Murphy will lend his voice as emcee.
