CORNWALL, Ontario - New River Kings owner Brock Frost said this weekend mismanagement led to problems for the team - not a controversial advertising agreement at the Ed Lumley Arena.

In a public statement he issued via social media, Frost chilled rumours that the Canadian Jr. A Hockey League team is the culprit behind the River Kings constant financial woes.

"If I received a nickel for every comment made about the 'Colts advertising dilemma,' I would likely have enough money to pay for the entire upcoming season," said Frost. "The truth of the matter is however that the Colts are not responsible for the previous two seasons of failure. Rather, and quite bluntly, the Cornwall River Kings failed due to top-down mismanagement and lack of vision."
