LIGHTNING STRIKES: Luis overwhelms opponent, wins unanimous decision

CORNWALL, Ontario - Lightning struck at the Turning Stone Casino in upstate New York over and over Friday night.

Tony 'Lightning' Luis of Cornwall won a lopsided unanimous decison over Wanzell Ellison, 77-75, 79-73 and 78-74, according to the judges score card.

Luis's bout was featured as part of the 200th episode of Showtime Network's ShoBox: The Neew Generation.

Analysts at the boxing match said bothfighters started the bout slowly, sizing each other up, before Luis began to take control.

As the fight progressed, Luis' speed and skill quickly overwhelmed Ellison, who by the fourth round was behind 48-25 in power punches to the Cornwall native.

With the win Luis improves his record to 18-2 with seven knockouts.
