CORNWALL, Ontario – The Laval Predateurs ruined the Cornwall River Kings home opener Friday night, with a 10-4 victory at the Ed Lumley Arena.

Cornwall’s rookie forward Antony Courcelles scored a hat-trick and the game’s first goal at 1:11, but the River Kings were simply outmatched.

Laval’s Alexandre Imbeault led the charge in front of 2,273 hockey fans. He scored four times.

Laval outshot Cornwall 41-31.

The games three stars, as chosen by the fans, were Imbeault (first), Pierre-Luc O’Brien (second) and Courcelles.

The River Kings will hit the ice again in Trois-Rivieres on Sunday, at 4 p.m. Catch them at the Cornwall Civic Complex on Saturday, Oct. 25 when they square off against Jonquiere.
