The Fence Depot Selects started the Brockville tournament off recently with a solid effort against the Nepean Hurricanes. Late in the first Curtis Caron got the Selects on the board with the assists going to Quintin Latendre and Robert Burns. The Selects carried the play into the second period when Tavish MacLeod scored to make it a 2–1 game. Going into the third period, Fence Depot poured it on with goals. Two off the stick of Andrew Lalonde and the other from Médéric DeRepentigny. Assists on the first two were Quintin Latendre and one assist each to Curtis Caron and Mitchell Galindo. The final score was a 5–1 win.

The Selects finished the round robin play on Saturday with games against the Orleans Sharks and the Brockville Braves. In the first game of the day the Selects opened up a 4–0 lead in the first ,extending the lead to 6–0 in the second, and finishing strong with two more in the third. Justin Locke backstopped his first shutout of the tournament. The score sheet had Brandon Hough, Jarett Derochie, Tavish MacLeod and Curtis Caron each with a goal and an assist; Emerson Wheeler with one goal; and Andrew Lalonde with three goals and one assist. In the second game of the day the Selects got on the board early with a goal from Andrew Lalonde and the assist going to Quintin Latendre, but late the first the Braves got one back to tie it up 1–1. In the second period both teams played a fast end-to-end game. Halfway through the second the Selects fell behind 2–1. Early in the third the Braves scored from a scramble in front of the net to make it 3–1 and finished the Selects off 5–1. With that loss the Selects would have to play the top team in the A pool in the semi-finals on Sunday morning. The Fence Depot Selects started Sunday morning off against a Kemptville team that beat them in an earlier tournament this year. Both teams played hard in all three periods. The Selects motivated to get back in their third finals in tournament play battled to a 0–0 tie through three periods. Going into sudden-death play, Curtis Caron made a pretty pass out into the slot where Andrew Lalonde slid a shot in low to advance the Selects into the finals. Justin Locke secured his second shutout and third win of the tournament. In the finals, the Fence Depot team once again found themselves up against the undefeated Brockville team. The Braves and the Selects played a very physical and chippy game. After the second period the Braves were up 1–0. The Selects, not giving up, finally found the net with Emerson Wheeler scoring on a perfect pass from Brandon Hough. The rest of the third was a see-saw battle. The Fence Depot Selects not giving an inch played their hearts out to a 1–1 tie after three periods. The overtime started with the Selects going down the ice getting a great scoring chance but no goal to show for it. With the faceoff in the Selects’ zone, the Braves drew the puck back to the defence with a slap shot going top corner to beat the Selects 2–1, and the Selects came away with the silver medal. The players of the game were Andrew Lalonde, Justin Locke and Médéric DeRepentigny.
