The Seaway Valley Minor Bantam AA Rapids team travelled to Lake Placid, NY and brought home the gold. The Rapids were unstoppable throughout the weekend and came out strong with a 5–0–0 record. In game one the Rapids beat Saratoga Blue Knights 6–0. In their second game they again skated away with a 3–1 win this time against Essex Sting. The following day they continued their hard work and beat North Shore Raiders 9–0. In game four they met up with New England Predators beating them 5–0. In the championship game, the Rapids faced New England Predators once again and pulled off another win beating them 5–1. The Rapids showed great work ethic throughout the tournament. Both goalies Matthew Lapierre and RJ McComber were solid between the pipes. Goals throughout the tournament were scored by Reed Payette with six; Brandon Barillaro; Dan Pilon and Tristen Elie each with four; Josh Van de Glind with three; Ryan Thomas and Isaac Brownlee each with two; Tylor Alguire, Grant Cooper and Brett Lapointe each with one. Assists went to Isaac Brownlee with six; Grant Cooper; Tylor Alguire; Tristen Elie; Dan Pilon and Brad Wilson each with five; Ryan Thomas with four; Brandon Barillaro; Josh Van de Glind and Ross Craig each with three; Reed Payette and Duncan Macdonald each with one. In the skills competition, relay winners were awarded to Dan Pilon, Tristen Elie,Brad Wilson and Tylor Alguire. Shootout goalie winner was awarded to Matthew Lapierre and shootout shooter winner was awarded to Grant Cooper.
