The Ontario Power Generation South Stormont Selects Major Midget B Rep team hosted the annual South Stormont Major Midget B Rep. tournament this past weekend and continued their winning ways, winning the "A" champonship for their second consective tournament victory.

The Selects first faced the NGS Braves and came out a little flat and needed a last minute goal to earn a 2-1 victory. After a scoreless 1st period the Braves opened the scoring before the Selects tied it up with less than 5 seconds left in the 2nd period with a goal from Graeme Markell. The 3rd period saw some tight checking before the Selects scored the winning goal late in the period with a goal from Spencer Vivarais. Assisting on the Selects goals were Brent Harbers and Kyle Maloney. Brandon Mackenzie played a great game between the pipes making some key saves to earn the victory. Brandon MacKenzie was named player of the game.

The Selects then faced the South Grenville Rangers and in a hard hitting defensive battle the Selects scored the lone goal in the second period and held on for a 1-0 win. Scoring the Selects lone goal was Dylan Fleury with assists from John Cleary and Nathan Eamer. Jordan Graham also played a great game between the pipes making several big stops along the way to earn the shutout. Jordan Graham was named player of the game.

The Selects then faced the South Dundas Lions who came out flying to build up a 3-0 lead before the Selects battled back in the 3rd period with 3 straight goals to earn a 3-3 tie. Scoring for the Selects were John Cleary, Troy Veenstra, and Dylan Fleury. Assists went to Kyle Maloney, Jeremy Stang, Devin Coughlin, and John Cleary. Brandon MacKenzie played a good game in the nets to earn the tie. Dylan Fleury was named player of the game.

The "A" champonship matched the Selects with the Brockville Braves and the Selects played their best game of the day in a 4-1 victory. The Selects opened the scoring with two straight goals from Graeme Markell and Kyle Maloney before the Braves answered with their lone goal late in the 1st period. The Selects then added singles in each of the last two periods with goals from John Cleary and Kyle Maloney with his second of the game. Assists went to Spencer Vivarais, Jeremy Stang, Graeme Markell, and Colin Simpson. Jordan Graham played another good game between the pipes to earn the victory. Graeme Markell was named player of the game.
