On February 5th, 6th, and 7th, the Char Lan Atom B2 Rebels played in the South Grenville Rangers tournament in Spencerville, Ontario. The Rebels finished second in their pool, with wins against the Stittsville Rams 1-0, Nepean Tornadoes 5-0, and a loss to the host South Grenville Rangers 4-1, which qualified them for the Consolation playoffs. In the semi-final the Rebels defeated the Ottawa Centre Hurricanes in very close game that saw the Rebels go ahead late in the third period and hold off the Hurricanes for a 1-0 victory, and a birth in the Consolation final. In the Championship game, the Rebels faced the Deep River Knights and like the semi-final game it was a see saw battle that saw the Knights take a 1-0 lead mid way through the third period. The Rebels responded by tying the game 1-1 with less than 6 minutes in the game. The Rebels then dug deep and scored three more times to solidify the Consolation Championship 4-1.
