Race 1 of the 2009 Spring Series was held on Sunday, May 17 in winds gusting to over 20 kn. Five boats started; however, only three managed to finish the 7.2 nm course around Sheik Island crossing the line within 1 minute 5 seconds of each other.

DNF. Evert Termeer and Mike Togneri

Race #2 of the Stormont Yacht Club Spring series was held on Sunday May 25. The 6.1 nm course was from Long Sault to Guindon Park and Begin Island. With a gusty 10 knot wind the choice of sails was important giving Doug Randlett a first place over Keith Coligan and Brian Branchard.
