Senior Games winners

District 8 Senior Games recently held a bocce competition as part of its summer Actifest. Fourteen area players took part, with Stanley and Jacqueline Fraser of Alexandria (pictured above) taking home the gold medal. Silver went to the duo of Jacques Vallieres and Bob Peladeau, and bronze went to Burt McKinley and Anita Branchaud. Meanwhile, in shuffleboard competition, Gilles and Gail Boyer (pictured below) of Maxville won gold; Gilles Racine of Cornwall and Jacques Lafontaine of Williamstown won silver; and Phylis McIntosh and Percy Armstrong of Winchester took home the bronze medal. Coming events in Actifest include golf (May 27), tennis (May 30, 31, June 3, 10), and prediction walk (June 4, 5). For more information, contact Bob Peladeau at 613-931-1641.
