The third-year sprinter from Williamstown, Ontario was named the Gee-Gees athlete of the week and qualified for the CIS nationals with a speedy first place finish of 33.25 seconds in the 300m at the Louis Riel Dome Super Saturday Series in Gloucester, Ontario over the weekend. The Human Kinetics major is also a member of the men's 4x200m relay team that set a new Dome record and a CIS auto-qualifying time as well, clocking in at 1:26.96. The uOttawa track team is currently in 1st place in the CIS rankings. The Gee-Gees travel to Canton, New York and McGill University for upcoming meets. Mike will be travelling to Winnipeg for a meet and then to Louisiana State University to train for the upcoming Canadian University Championships in Windsor and the Canadian Senior Nationals to be held in Toronto in late July.
