The U13 Blazers played their first road game of the year against Nepean City. The game started with back-and-forth action until midway through the first half when the Blazers speed and intensity took over and resulted in the first goal by Coty Cassleman, followed shortly after by Melissa Marleau pouncing on a rebound and firing it in for a 2–0 lead. Before the half was done Jacob Proulx made it 3–0 on a scramble which saw the Nepean goalie out of position leaving the net wide open. The second half the Blazers’ speed once again was at the forefront when Cassleman beat everyone to a loose ball to make it 4–0. A late let down resulted in two quick Nepean goals which brought the score closer. Strong defensive play throughout by Ross Craig, Chris Millward, Jason Baxendale and Jacob Lepage preserved the Blazers’ 4–2 win.
