SD&G OPP would like to remind the motoring public that the fall season has arrived and the deer population are on the move.

This is the time of year that deer are the most active as not only are they feeding up for the winter months their breeding season is in full swing.

Always keep vigilant when driving, but especially in the evening and early morning hours, as that is when the deer are moving from feeding areas to their bedding locations.

There have already been over 200 car deer collisions throughout SD&G this year as well as one involving a moose in the Glen Becker area (Highway 31 South Dundas).

Please stay alert and time manage so that you arrive safely at your destination.
