Passed away peacefully on April 12, 2009 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital in her 90th year. Happily remembered by her son, Clive and daughter-in-law Frances of Ingleside, grandchildren Christopher Marin of Ottawa, Kia Marin of Kingston, Jeffrey Marin of Vancouver and Jennifer Janzen of Saskatoon and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Dr. Gerald Marin and son Dr. Scott Marin. Private cremation.

WHITTAKER - Robert

Passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 12, 2009. Robert James (Jim) Whittaker of Cornwall, age 68 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 45 years of Mariette (Tougas) Whittaker. HARTE - Douglas Delbert

Passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009, age 65 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Delbert and Edith and brother Garry. Left to mourn Doug’s passing are his wife Kathy and her sons, Curtis and Kevin Petrychyn of Regina, SK, two daughters, four sisters, Sharon (Marcel) Longtin of St. Andrews, Marleen Harte of Cornwall, Cindy (Roger) Branchaud of Cornwall, Donna (Rob) Douglass of Cornwall, one brother, Barry of Cornwall, two grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, the Ben Ferner family and David, his golfing buddy. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at St. martin Roman Catholic Parish, 4720 Castle Road, Regina, SK. In addition to the Funeral Service, a special Mass will be held for the repose of Doug’s soul at 8am on Thursday, April 16 at St. Martin Roman Catholic Parish with Fr. Valentine Amobi as Celebrant. CHAUSSI - Mrs. Nancy “Kwanentawi” Bova

Passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Friday morning, April 10, 2009, surrounded by her family; age 70, of Cornwall Island. Dear daughter of James and Julia Boots Bova. Nancy is survived by 4 sons and their wives, Jeffrey and Lori Bova of Cornwall Island, Dennis and Maggie Chaussi of Cornwall Island, Peter and Tracey Chaussi of St. Andrews West, Kenneth “Kuy” and Lynn Chaussi of Cornwall Island, 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, a sister and brother-in-law, Hilda and Michael Smoke of Hogansburg, 3 brothers, Arthur J. Bova of Sugarbush Island, Quebec, Wilfred W. Bova of Cornwall Island, Percy and Shirley Francis of Cornwall Island, a very dear friend, Sheila Jock of Cornwall Island and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Brian M. Chaussi on January 23, 1988 and by her parents. Friends may call at the Thompson Memorial Wellness Center, Cornwall Island beginning Monday, 7pm until 9am Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10:30am at St. Columban’s Catholic Church, Cornwall. Burial will be in Kateri Cemetery. TYRELL - Beverly (Montroy)

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Thursday, April 9, 2009, age 66 years. Loving mother of June Young (Nelson Lalonde) and Alison Grant (Trevor). Sadly missed by 4 grandchildren, Tiffany, Lindsay, Jason, Jenna and one great-grandson, Aidan. Survived by 4 brothers, Mitchell (Solange), Donald (Rosemary), Johnny (Rita), Cecil (Denise) and 6 sisters, Jean Charland (late Donald), Darlene Billard (Gilbert), Muriel (Toune) Tessier (late Garth), Brenda Montroy, Bonnie Clement (Terry) and Susan Herrington. Predeceased by her parents, John and Germaine (Vivarais) Montroy, 4 brothers, Romeo, Leo (Dawn), Harry (Irene) and Robert (Marcelle), one sister June Gadbois (Doug). A Private Liturgy of the Word was held in the Chapel of the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt St. (across from City Hall), Cornwall on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 1pm. Father Kevin Maloney celebrated. Rite of Committal followed at Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Cornwall Community Hospital foundation (Palliative Care) would be appreciated by the family.

MUIR - Anne Campbell (née Richardson)

Completed her life journey after a long, full and happy life on March 30, 2009 in Cornwall at the age of 101. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Whyte Muir. She will be great missed by her sons James (Linda) and David (Pamela Craig) and her adoring granddaughters, Sarah and Julia Muir. Anne was the daughter of Nelson and Jeannette (née Rae) Richardson. She was predeceased by her siblings, Jean, Joseph, Edith and Kathleen. She had many special nieces and nephews. McArthur Bros. & MacNeil has arranged for cremation. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 2pm on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 28 Second St. East. A Private Interment at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery will be held at a later date. In memory of Anne, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

BROWN - Vernon

Passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, April 13, 2009. Mr. Vernon George Brown of Cornwall, age 71 years. Beloved husband for 53 years of Elsie (Palmer) Brown. Loving father of George Brown and Michael Brown (Kathy) both of Orangeville, Kevin Brown and Erika-Lynn Lam (Tony) both of Cornwall. Cherished grandfather of Jesse and Jonathan Brown, Jacob, Joshua and Thomas Lam, Piper-Lyn Brown and Tyson Dufresne. Dear son of the late James Arnold Brown and the late Lina (McAllister) Brown. Survived by 14 brothers and sisters. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh St. West (613-932-8482) from 7pm Wednesday. Funeral Friday, April 17, 2009 for Service in Salvation Army Church at 11am, followed by cremation. The family will be in attendance from 7pm to 10pm Wednesday, from 2-4pm and 7-10pm Thursday and from 9am until time of Funeral on Friday.
