Courage and bravery
Guy and Debi Bergeron of Cornwall are exceptionally proud to announce that their son, Captain Isaac Goldberg, received a commendation for his courage and bravery on Dec. 29, 2007 while on tour in Afghanistan. Captain Goldberg was given his commendation by Lt. General Gauthier on May 6, 2009. He will proudly wear the silver bar decorated with three silver maple leaves, which attest to his service to his men and his country. Brother Erik (Stacey), sister Emilie (Trevor), Captain Meghan Joiner (wife of Captain Goldberg) and her parents Ron and Peggy, grandmothers Elizabeth Lewery and Yvonne Bergeron, as well as other family and friends, congratulate Isaac on this incredible accomplishment of leadership by example. Captain Isaac Goldberg is a graduate of General Vanier Intermediate School and is stationed along with his wife, Captain Joiner, in Kingston.
