On Monda,y May 18 the Axxis Optical U12 Blazer boys played their season opener game in the ERSL Premier Division (L4) against Russell. Their first game was a success, recording a 5–0 win. Scoring for the team was Brett Ouderkirk (4) and Anthony Pace (1). Assists went to Franco Caparelli, Mathieu Brousseau and Kaelan Leroux. Goaltender Guy Giroux played a solid game and earned his first shutout. Coaches Luc DeRepentigny and George Caparelli were pleased with the boys’ performance, this being their first game on a full field and in higher division in the ERSL. The roster for the season is set: Guy Giroux, Reeve Nicholson, Samuel Cardinal, Mathieu Brousseau, Maxime Gagnon-Goyette, Kaelan Leroux, Anthony Pace, Franco Caparelli, Grant Hebert, Tyler Akins, Brandon Laperle, Josh Watters, Médéric DeRepentigny, Alex Douglas and Brett Ouderkirk.
