U15 boys Blazers start season with a win
After a successful first year in the Regional Division, the Blazers U15B are now aiming at the Championship title. For the first game of the year, the Blazers were facing the Kanata Lightning on home turf at the Optimist park. Early on, the two teams were very careful and not taking in chances. Slowly but surely, the Blazers imposed their own pace to the game with a good ball control and were able to score at the 37th minute. Jarret St-John scored the first goal of the season for the Blazers on a corner by Joshua Burleton. The first half ended 1–0. The second half saw the Blazers U15B dominating the offensive zone which resulted in a goal scored by Jarret St-John (second of the night) to bring the score 2–0 following an individual effort from Ashtton Ewers. James McDonell played well and earned the shutout in his debut as a regular goalkeeper. The team showed excellent coordination between defence, mid-field and forward, which contributed to a collective effort in the win.
