Free seminar
The Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Cornwall, is offering a free, one-hour seminar on the new Ontario Accessibility Customer Service law. As of Jan. 1, 2008 the Accessibility Customer Service law is in effect and will require most businesses to comply by January 1, 2012. The seminar will not only help small- to medium-sized business owners understand the new law, but it will offer tips and tools on how to extend customer service to persons with disabilities, as well as explain the economics and legalities of complying with the new law.

The seminar will be presented by AMF www.moxiefoundation.ca), which is a not-for-profit, comprised of professionals with various disabilities. Drawing on their years of business experience combined with their unique perspective of the challenges facing people with disabilities, the Moxie team delivers compelling reasons for the new requirements.

You are invited to attend the seminar, which will take place at the Best Western Parkway Inn and Conference Centre on June 18, 2009. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8 a.m., followed by the presentation from 8 to 9 a.m. To register for the seminar contact the Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce at 613-933-4004 or via email at info@cornwallchamber.com.
