Funding for healthy communities
MPP Jim Brownell announced, on Wednesday, January 6, at the Starbright Resource Centre, two grants from the Ontario government's Healthy Communities Fund to promote healthy living in Stormont, Dundas and South Glengarry. The Eastern Ontario Training Board (EOTB) will received just under $45,000 for their Learning Garden project which will be planted on the grounds of the Seaway Seniors Centre, with the help of community partner, Cornwall Carbon Reduction Initiative (CCRI). As well, the Canadian Mental Health Association Champlain East (CMHA) will receive just over $32,500 for the implementation of fitness and mental health focused programs.
