WILLIAMSTOWN, Ontario – Kicks for a Cause is returning for a second year.

This year the soccer torunament will be held in Rozon Park in Williamstown on Saturday, June 24 and the cause this year will be Beyond 21.

Last year, the event raised $900 and organizer Colton Gallant is hoping to raise more this time around.

Teams are encouraged to sign-up at the Kicks for a Cause Facebook page.

Teams must be co-ed and have a minimum of five players. The cost to sign-up is $20 per player.

Gallant has said that the Township of South Glengarry is helping him with the cost of renting the fields and getting some soccer nets.

Colton explained why he was interested in supporting Beyond 21 with the soccer tournamnet this year.

“I got to learn about Beyond 21 and it stuck with me and I wanted to help out,” he said. “I like helping local causes and thought that Beyond 21 wqas fitting.”
