CORNWALL, Ont. – This is not your typical Lego activity.

The Cornwall Raging Robots, a FIRST Lego League team of nine to 14-year-olds, hosted an open house at the Care Centre (formerly the Cornwall General Hospital) on Sunday (May 1).

Roughly eight members and their parents attend weekly meetings at the centre, which take place Thursdays from 6-8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. during tournament season.

It costs $50 to join the Raging Robots. But Menon says that barely covers registration fees since the robotics program costs $3,000 annually to operate.

Inspired by Maxville's NGS Tech Tigers, the Raging Robots formed in 2013 wanting to get hands-on with science and technology.
