‘Knickers’ comes to NAV Centre
Vagabond Theatre's latest comedy

CORNWALL, Ontario – The Vagabond Theatre of Cornwall’s latest comedy, ‘Knickers’ comes to life Mar. 31 through Apr. 8 at the NAV Centre.

Written by Canadian playwright Sarah Quick, the play is directed by Katie Burke and produced by Dan Youmelle. Featuring a large cast of local actors including Laurie Manzer as Terri, Jenny Dagenais as Barb, Krystal Taillon as Mary, Nikaiataa Skidders as Amanda and Jennifer Crites, Elaine Kennedy, Allison Latimer, and Yvonne Lortie as the four gossips.

Set in the fictional Northern Ontario town of Elliston Falls, the play chronicles the closure of the city’s main employer – the local paper mill, putting many citizens out of work. After falling on hard times, four women soon realize that desperate times call for desperate measures, and that a risqué proposition may save the town.

“Knickers is a delightful, irreverent comedy that celebrates determination, entrepreneurial spirit, and life in small town Canada,” said Burke. “It will have great appeal for local audiences.”

Tickets are $20 and are available for purchase at Scotiabank Cornwall. Show times are 7:30 p.m., on Mar. 31 and Apr. 1, 1:30 p.m. on Apr. 2, and 7:30 p.m. on April 6-8. For further information, contact Dan Youmelle, at 613-938-1930.
