Victim identified in fatal North Dundas collision

NORTH DUNDAS, Ontario – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue an investigation into a two (2) vehicle collision which occurred on April 11, 2017 on County Road 31 (north of Winchester Springs), North Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that at approximately 12:51pm, a passenger vehicle (2010 Mini Cooper) driven by Neville VINCENT (67) of North Dundas Township was travelling south on County Road 31 when, for reasons under investigation, crossed into the north lane and collided head-on with a transport truck (2013 International milk tanker). VINCENT was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 44-year-old truck driver from Valleyfield, Quebec was not injured. 

SD&G OPP, assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) and Reconstructionist continue to investigate. A section of County Road 31, between Nesbitt Road and Hollister Road had been closed to traffic but has since re-opened.
