SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers continue an investigation into a two (2) vehicle fatal collision which occurred on Highway 138 (north of Willy Allan Road), South Stormont Township.
Investigation has indicated that on May 10, 2017 at approximately 5:58am, a 2010 Toyota, driven by an adult male – Azizullah ASSADZADA (27) of Ottawa, Ontario was travelling north on Highway 138 when, for reasons under investigation, collided head-on with a southbound transport truck driven by a 63-year-old male from Chelsea, Quebec. ASSADZADA (lone occupant) was pronounced deceased at the scene. The truck driver (lone occupant) was not injured.
SD&G OPP, assisted by OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) continue the investigation. A section of Highway 138, between Willy Allan Road and County Road 43 (Monkland) had been closed to traffic and re-opened at approximately 9:15pm.
