CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Community Police  Service  (CCPS) recognized the efforts of their volunteers in the Mobile Community Watch (MCW).

“We think of you as our eyes and ears in the community,” said Chief Dan Parkinson.

The Chief presented awards recognizing the years of service to four members of the MCW.

Vince Taillon was recognized for 10 years of volunteer service. In that time he has been out on patrol 196 times for a total of 595 hours and 7, 268km.

Barbara Marchand, also recognized for 10 years, had been on patrol 171 times for 533 hours and 5, 254km.

The final 10 year receipient was Jean-Marc Leroux, who could not be in attendance for the award presentations. He had been on patrol 101 times for 327 hours and 6, 566km.

David Cottreau was recognized for five years of volunteer service. In that time Cottreau had been on patrol 105 times for 310 hours and 1, 906km.
