UPDATE: one person killed in Hwy 401 accident
One passenger was killed when a Toyota Sienna Van crashed off of the off ramp of Hwy 401 at the Brookdale Exit in Cornwall (Nick Seebruch/ TC Media).

CORNWALL, Ontario – On July 14, 2017 at 10:46 am Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the scene of a single vehicle fatal collision on Highway 401 (Brookdale Avenue – off Ramp), South Stormont Township.

The adult female (69) of Scarborough, Ontario a passenger of the van was transported to hospital and has since died.

An adult male (73) driver of Scarborough, Ontario was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.

 Highway 401 Eastbound on and off ramps at Brookdale Avenue are closed to traffic. 

The SD&G OPP officers and OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and an OPP Reconstructionist are assisting in the investigation.
