CORNWALL, Ontario – The Colts scored three unanswered goals en route to a 5-3 home ice victory over the Navan Grads.

Navan led 2-0 and then 3-2 late in the 2nd period.

David Poirier’s first goal was the eventual game winner with 7 minutes left the 3rd period before Chris Theodore’s (4) highlight reel goal sealed the victory with two and half minutes left to play.  Poirier added two assists.  Keegan Mulhearn (3) scored twice with Justin McRae (2) also scoring.  Evan Bidenti added two assists.

The Grads outshot the Colts 39-38 with Liam Lascelle making 36 saves for the victory.

The Colts improve to 3-3-0-0 (6pts) on the CCHL season.

Keegan Mulhearn earned the Cornwall Toyota Hardest Working Player of the Game.

The Pizza Pizza Three Stars were First Star Keegan Mulhearn (COR), Second Star David Poirier (COR) and Third Star Keenan Reynolds (NAV).

The Colts next game is Sunday afternoon against the Canadians in Carleton Place.  Game time is 3pm.

The Colts return home next Thursday (September 21st) to face off against the Kemptville 73’s.  The Colts welcome Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Cornwall and District with support from the Cornwall Lions Club.  Game time is 7:30pm at the Ed Lumley Arena.
