SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – One person is dead and two others are in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a head on collision on Highway 2 in South Glengarry Wednesday morning.
Cst. Joel Doiron of the SD&G detachment of the OPP said that the driver of an Eastbound vehicle lost control at approximately 11:35 a.m. and collided head on with an oncoming vehicle.
One male occupant of the Eastbound car is confirmed dead and two others, a male and female are still in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries have been reported.
A third Westbound vehicle was unable to stop and hit the two other colliding vehicles, but only received minor damage.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated and Highway 2 is closed between Gilmore Hill and Purcell Road.
