CORNWALL, Ontario – Sunny Rae Nelson, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 14, 2017 and charged with robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of undertaking for not residing at a specified address, failing to notify a change of address and being in possession of a weapon.

It is alleged in the early morning hours of Feb. 14, 2017 the woman threatened a worker at a front desk of a local motel with a needle all the while demanding money. The woman left with a quantity of cash and police were contacted. The woman was located a short distance away, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Brian Colborne, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 13, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Feb. 13, 2017 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the man was in custody on unrelated charges. The warrant was executed and the man remained in custody for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Feb. 13, 2017 and charged with assault and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during arguments on Feb. 13, 2017 the man pushed his common-law wife on several occasions and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.
