CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Community Police Service (CCPS) is reporting that one person is dead after a fire occurred at a residence on Carleton Street Sunday afternoon.
CCPS confirmed that they received the call about the fire at 1:48 p.m. on Sunday, March 26.
CCPS confirmed an hour later that one individual had died, but did not disclose their identity or cause of death.
The Fire Marshall was on-route to the fire to investigate the cause.
The fire occurred on the corner of Carleton and Easton streets. Cornwall Electric were on the scene to disconnect the power from the residence.
