APPLE HILL, Ontario – Joseph (Adrien) St. Louis of Apple Hill is celebrating after winning $100,000 with ENCORE (May 18, 2017 LOTTARIO). Adrien matched six of the seven winning numbers on his ENCORE selection.
“I was running errands when I decided to pick up some lottery tickets,” shared Adrien while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where he picked up his winnings. “I play the same numbers every week.”
The married father put his ticket away and checked it the following week. “I had a few tickets to check so I used the ticket checker. I quickly realized I had a Big Win ticket. I asked the retailer to scan my ticket and the terminal froze. My wife was waiting in the car and I told her to come in. She said, ‘What is going on?’ I said, ‘I think I won big but I don’t know how much.’ Then OLG called and confirmed my win. I couldn’t believe it! When I saw the validation slip I began shaking with excitement. One person at the store asked to touch me for good fortune,” laughed Adrien.
Plans are under way for Adrien’s windfall. “I plan to purchase a new SUV or car. I also want to fix up the house we live in as lots of renovations are needed. Once it’s done, I will sell it and buy a new place. I am definitely going to help out loved ones and give our kids a money gift. I would love to take my wife and mother-in-law on a trip to Calgary. My wife and I will definitely have a great summer with short trips around the countryside. I think I may also treat myself to a new boat as I enjoy fishing. Winning the lottery is incredible!” concluded Adrien.
