APPLE HILL, Ontario – Congratulations to Diana Murray of Apple Hill, the latest winner of $1,000 a week for life with INSTANT CASH FOR LIFE (Game #1172).
“My family likes to give lottery tickets as birthday, anniversary and special occasion gifts,” shared Diana while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “My ticket was tucked into a gift from my husband.”
Diana found out about her big win on her birthday. “Amazing! I scratched the ticket and thought it looked like a winner but I really was in disbelief. I kept wondering, ‘Did I scratch it right? Was I reading it incorrectly?’ My husband looked at the ticket and said, ‘Yup, it looks like a winner!’”
Next, Diana called OLG to find out what steps she needed to take. “I was told to go back to the store and have the ticket validated. We were heading out to watch a movie and made a stop at the store. That’s when I realized I really had a ‘Big Winner’! Even though I made several photocopies of the ticket, I hugged my purse, with the ticket in it, tightly that night.”
Plans are underway for Diana’s windfall. “I would love to travel across Canada with my husband. We will also be paying off our car loans, renovating our house and adding new windows. And of course, we will be celebrating with our children and grandchildren. Winning the lottery is exciting and its nerve racking,” concluded Diana.
