CORNWALL, Ontario – A 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 20, 2017 and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, threats and mischief.

He was also charged with breach of probation for carrying a knife and failing to keep the peace as well as breach of recognizance for not abiding by the rules of the residence. It is alleged during an argument on Nov. 20, 2017 the man assaulted his mother, pointed a knife at her, threatened her and damaged a door. Police were contacted and took the man into custody after a brief foot chase. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Jordan MacDonald, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 20, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for not remaining in his residence and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter on Nov. 15, 2017 the man was found to be in breach of his conditions and an investigation ensued. The man was located on Nov. 20, 2017, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

CORNWALL, Ontario – An 18-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Nov. 20, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged on Oct. 23, 2017 the woman punched her boyfriend and police were contacted to investigate. On Nov. 20, 2017 the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Clayton Delorme, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 20, 2017 and charged with possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on Nov. 20, 2017 the man was found to be in possession of a stolen bicycle in the area of Victoria Avenue. He was taken into custody and found to bed in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.
