Break-in on Augustus St.

CORNWALL, Ontario – Two Cornwall youths aged 15 and 16 were arrested on April 22, 2017 and charged with break and enter.

The 15-year-old youth was also charged with breach of probation and recognizance for being out past curfew. It is alleged on April 22, 2017 the two youths forced their way into a garage on Augustus Street and removed property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Their names were not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREAK AND ENTER

CORNWALL, Ontario – Gregory Lalonde, 28, and Kevin Ingola, 21, both from Cornwall were arrested on April 22, 2017 and charged with break and enter. It is alleged in Oct. 2016 the two men removed a television from someone else’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 22, 2017 and charged with mischief, assault and breach of recognizance for consuming alcohol, communicating with his ex-wife, failing to reside in Montreal, being where his ex-wife might be and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on April 21, 2017 the man punched his ex-wife and damaged some of her personal property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

CORNWALL, Ontario – Richard Massia, 37, of Bourget was arrested on April 22, 2017 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle on April 22, 2017 while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Birmingham Avenue. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 4, 2017.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Brian Colborne, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on April 22, 2017 and charged with theft under $5, 000, breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address. It is alleged on April 22, 2017 the man removed merchandise from a Ninth Street business making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

ASSAULT

CORNWALL, Ontario – Yvan Landry, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on April 23, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on April 23, 2017 the man head butted another man and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 8th, 2017.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Roxanne Hanson, 18, of Green Valley was arrested on April 23, 2017 and charged with theft under $5, 000 and breach of two probation orders for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 23, 2017 the woman entered a Ninth Street store and removed merchandise making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. She was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
