CORNWALL, Ontario – Environment Canada is warnngof heavy rainfall and possible flooding for this weekend.
The Environment Canada Weather Warning is projecting 30-50mm of rain will fall between Friday and Sunday.
“Rain will spread into the region this evening and is forecast to persist through Sunday as the weather system responsible stalls over the region,” the warning reads. “The rain is expected to taper to showers Sunday afternoon. With the ground already saturated, there is the potential for local flooding.”
According to The Weather Network, Friday is expected to be the heaviest day of rainfall for Conrwall with around 20 mm falling that day alone.
