CORNWALL, Ontario - Cornwall police have arrested a 29-year-old woman in connection with a recent robbery at a local Tim Hortons.
These images released by Cornwall police show the suspect who robbed a Cornwall Tim Hortons while brandishing a gun.
Cornwall resident Ashley Hutt was apprehended by members of the Criminal Investigation Division at an Eighth Street East residence on March 27.
Police allege she entered the Tim Hortons store at the corner of Pitt and Ninth streets on Sunday, March 23 at around 5 p.m. while wearing a disguise and brandishing a handgun. The woman demanded money from the clerk and ran off with an undisclosed amount.
During their investigation, police discovered the handgun believed to be the one used in the robbery. City cops confirmed the handgun was actually a replica firearm.
The woman has been charged with robbery using a firearm, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.
She was held for a bail hearing in Cornwall court today.
