AMELL – Alfred Joseph

Passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009. Mr. Alfred Amell, (retired employee of the Township of Cornwall – Public Works), age 85 years. Beloved husband of 56 years to the former Helen Carson. Loved father of William (Bill) Amell of Lunenburg, Ontario. Sadly missed by his grandsons, Andrew and Kyle Amell. Loved son of the late Frank and Adiana (Vincent) Amell. Dear brother of Rita Sauve (late Lucien) of Glen Walter, Ontario, Theresa Rupert (late George) and Mary Rupert (late Enos), both of Cornwall, Ontario. Predeceased by his sisters, Beatrice and Pauline Amell. Rested at the Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral Service was celebrated in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Feb. 11. Rite of Committal at a later date in St. Andrew’s Parish Cemetery, St. Andrews West, Ontario.

MENARD – Robert (Ti-Guy)

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, Cornwall, Ontario, on Saturday, February 7, 2009, age 77 years. Beloved husband of Jeannette Menard (née Dugas). Dear father of Richard Menard (Anne Mondoux) of Ottawa, Ontario, François Menard (Heather Dunn) of Orleans, Diane Huntley of Cornwall and Guylaine (Mrs. Donald Marleau) of Chelsea, Quebec. Dear brother of Royal Menard (Brother of the Sacred Heart) of Timmins, Ontario, Fernande Beaudry and Jeannine (Mrs. Maurice Billard), both of Cornwall. Dear grandfather of fourteen grandchildren. Dear son of the late Oscar Menard and the late Alice Danis. Predeceased by five brothers, Marcel, Lucien, Gilles, Fernand and Yvon Menard. Rested at the Boulerice Funeral Home Ltd., Cornwall. Funeral Services on Feb. 10, for Mass of Christian Burial in Nativity Co-Cathedral, followed by Cremation in South Branch Crematorium, Cornwall.

LACOMBE – Robert

Passed away at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 5, 2009. Mr. Robert Joseph Lacombe of Alexandria, Ontario, age 58 years. Loving father of Lori-Ann Laflamme (Steven Rouleau) of Alexandria, Gilbert Lee Lacombe (Margaret Gunn) of Mississauga, Ontario, Christine Lacombe (Steven Prieur) of Apple Hill, Ontario and Gilles Lacombe of Alexandria. Dear brother of Gilbert Lacombe (Diane) of St. Andrews, Ontario, Norman Lacombe (Sue) of Maxville, Ontario, Maurice Lacombe (Cathy) of Apple Hill, Theresa Cuillerier (Romeo) of Williamstown, Ontario and Johanne Michaud (Gary) of Maxville. Predeceased by one sister, Fernande Wensink (Riekus of Greenfield) and by one infant sister. Dear son of the late Albert Lacombe and the late Rita Clavette. Survived by five grandchildren, Stephanie, Zachary, Brianna, Nicole and Tyler. Rested at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., Alexandria. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur, Alexandria on Feb. 9.

TOUCHETTE – Jacques (Jack)

Passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Mr. Jacques (Jack) Touchette of Cornwall, Ontario, age 52 years. Loving brother of Cecile Martin (Larry) of Ottawa, Ontario, Jeanne Touchette of Edmonton, Alberta and Colette Kutziubas (George) of Ottawa, Ontario. Dear son of the late Jean-Paul Touchette and the late Leona Aubin. Cherished uncle of Dina and Yanni (John) Kutziubas, David Martin (Jennifer) and Tom Martin (Nicole). Great-uncle of Aleka Kutziubas and Alexandre Martin. Jacques is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rested at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., Alexandria, Ontario. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur, Alexandria, on Feb. 10.

BARCLAY – Tommy-Lee

Passed away at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario on Wednesday, February 4, 2009, age 1 year. Loving and cherished son of Brian Barclay and Sophie Desjardins of Glen Robertson, Ontario. Dear grandson of Nicole Bourbonnais and Lee Paquette and Howard Barclay Jr. (Sandy). He is also survived by his aunt Sonia Desjardins and uncle Sebastien Desjardins, as well as his great-grandparents. Rested at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., Alexandria, Ontario. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, Glen Robertson on Feb. 9. Spring Interment, St. Martin de Tours Parish Cemetery.

CHARLEBOIS – Juliette (Montpetit)

Passed away at Cornwall Community Hospital on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Loving wife of 62 years to Reynald Charlebois. Sadly missed by her children Gérard (Lee Ann) of London, Diane Levac (Michel) of St-Foy, Quebec, Gilles (Elizabeth) of St. Augustine, Quebec, Gisèle Charlebois (Alain) of Vaudreuil, Quebec and Lynn Pisani (Steve) of Welland. Grandmother of Martin, Jean Yves, Josée (Simon), Audrey (James), Annie, Danielle, Bianca, Cavanaugh and Gemma. Dear sister of Florence Paquette (René) of Montreal, Hermine Ladouceur (Erminigil) of Cornwall and brother, Dr. Vital Montpetit (Allison) of Ottawa. Dear daughter of the late Arthur Montpetit and the late Catherine (Brunet) Montpetit. Predeceased by two brothers, Laurier and Adelard (Beatrice) and two sisters, Germaine Carrière and Dolorese Juillet (late Rheal). Rested at M. John Sullivan Funeral Home. Funeral took place on Saturday, February 7 at Église Sacre-Coeur. Cremation. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date.
