LEBLANC – Dorothy (Martin)

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Saturday, February 21, 2009, age 80 years. Beloved wife of the late Conrad Leblanc. Dear mother of Charles (Carol) of Harrison’s Corner, Gerald of Cornwall, Ontario, Jocelyn Ropchan (Bill) of Long Sault, Ontario, Robert (Lynn) of Ingleside, Ontario and Richard of Cornwall. Survived by grandchildren, Lisa Waldroff (Gary), Mark (Amanda), Matthew, Haley Leblanc, Andrew, Kimberly Ropchan and great-grandsons, Reid and Carter Waldroff. Also survived by sisters, Barbara Deon (late Edward) of Massena, NY and Rose Warren (Jack) of Brockville, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents George and Louise (Lefave) Martin Sr. and by her brothers, Harvey, George Jr. and by her sister, Shirley and Florence. Rested at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, Cornwall. Funeral Liturgy on Feb. 25 in the Chapel of the Funeral Home, followed by Cremation. Rite of Committal, Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date.

FLEMING – Yvonne

Passed away at the Woodland Villa, Long Sault, Ontario, on Friday, February 20, 2009. Mrs. Yvonne Fleming (née Hough), formerly of Long Sault, age 99 years. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Fleming. Loving mother of the late Mary Elaine Mathur (Prad) of Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Cherished grandmother of Arun Mathur of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Loved daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Alguire) Hough. Beloved sister of Clara MacMillan (late Ford) of Avonmore, Ontario, Gladys Curran (late Jim) of Toronto, Ontario and Ramona Hill (late Reg) of Arnprior, Ontario. Predeceased by her brother John Hough of Lunenburg, Ontario, her sister Lillian Adams (late Bob) of Seattle, Washington and Shirley MacNaughton of Calgary, Alberta. Cherished aunt to many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Cremation. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date and Interment will take place in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Long Sault. LEROUX – Yvette Cecile

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Friday, February 20, 2009. Mrs. Yvette Leroux of Cornwall, Ontario, age 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Leroux. Loving mother of Richard Leroux (late Theresa), Laurette Primeau, Maurice Leroux (Joyce), Denise Bouchard (Pete) and Claude Leroux. Sadly missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Loved daughter of the late Charles and Fabiana (Jobin) Boulerice. Dear sister of Pauline Leroux (late Edgar), Hélène Pétrin (Maurice), John Boulerice and Raoul Boulerice (Lucienne). Predeceased by her siblings, Carmen Pitts (late Garnet), Simone Cook (late Percy) and Leo Boulerice (Flosie). Rested at the Wilson Funeral Home, Cornwall. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell was celebrated in Ste. Thérèse-de-Lisieux Catholic Church on Feb. 24. Rite of Committal in Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall.

CAIN – Susan Marie

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Friday, February 20, 2009, age 58 years. Beloved mother of Scott Cain (Angela) and Sam Cain Jr. (Tracey), both of Cornwall, Ontario. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Brendan, Chelsea, Kyle and Jacob. Loved daughter of the late Harvey and Joyce (Casselman) O’Bery. Dear sister of Diane Piquette (Brian Liscomb) and Michael O’Bery (Diane), both of Cornwall. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Wilson Funeral Home. A Private Family Service was held. Interment to take place at a later date in Nativity Parish Cemetery, Cornwall.

Passed away at the Maxville Manor on Friday, February 20, 2009. Mrs. Jennie Cameron (née Ingram) of Alexandria, Ontario, age 97 years. Beloved wife of the late John Angus Cameron. Loving sister of Viola McDonald (late Dan) of Toronto, Ontario and Maggie Pilon (late Clifford) of Lancaster, Ontario. Predeceased by one brother, Clarence. Dear daughter of the late Robert Ingram and the late Victoria McKeown. Survived by 8 nieces and nephews and by many great-nieces and great-nephews. Rested at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., Alexandria. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Finnan’s Catholic Church, Alexandria, on Feb. 23. Spring Interment, Parish Cemetery.

Survived by 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of the late Napoleon Lauzon and the late Sophia Tyo. Predeceased by 1 son, Gabriel Leblanc, 11 brothers, John, Frank, Henry, Fred, Napoleon, Walter, Norman, Lawrence, Edgar, Leonard and Lloyd Lauzon and five sisters, Mrs. Mary Stone, Mrs. Eva Stone, Mrs. Alma St. Louis, Miss Myrtle Lauzon and Miss Edna Lauzon. Andrews. Dear mother of Charles Pitre (Judith) of Yellowknife, NWT. Dear grandmother of Stephane, Renée, Nathan, Rebecca, Caitlin, Isabelle, Grant and Tyral and great-grandmother of Samuel and Philip. Dear daughter of the late Charles Ovide Pitre and the late Bertha (Provost) Pitre. Predeceased by two brothers, Rodolphe and Melvin Pitre. Survived by her nieces and nephews, Constance Meilleur (Daniel), Jacques Pitre (Joanne), Dominique Léger (André) and Christopher Pitre (Deborah). PHIPPEN – Bernice Elizabeth (née Bechtel)

Passed away at the Janet Macdonell Palliative Pavilion in Cornwall, Ontario, on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, age 76 years. Beloved companion of the late Patrick Burton. Dear mother of Darla Young (Jeffrey), Dale Phippen (Susan) and Donald Phippen (Pat). Survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Predeceased by Lorne Phippen and their two daughters, Diane and Debby. Lovingly raised by her late parents, Elizabeth and Harold Bechtel of Emsdale, Ontario. Cremation will be followed by Rite of Committal in the summer at All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Huntsville, Ontario. LEGUE – Nelson Ernest

Passed away at the Ottawa Hospital (General Campus) on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, age 54 years. (Associate Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 297 and the Cornwall & District Navy Veterans’ Association). He leaves his loving wife of almost 33 years, Lisette (Archambault) Legue. Dear father of Shawn (Laura), Erick (Lindsay), Bradley (Robin) and Christopher (Nathalie). Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren, Daniel, Calla, Haley, Tiera, Alea, Austin and Serenity. Also survived by 2 step-sisters, Fleurette, Lilianne (Armand) and one step-brother, Paul. Predeceased by his parents Garnet Nelson and Viola Josephine (Ladouceur) Legue and one infant son, Jason. Rested at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, Cornwall, Ontario. Funeral Service Feb. 21 at Trinity Anglican Church, followed by cremation. Committal in the spring at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Long Sault, Ontario.

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site on Monday, February 16, 2009. Mr. Clifford Henry Pilon of Lancaster, Ontario, formerly of Martintown, Ontario, age 96 years. Beloved husband of 69 years to Margaret Evelyn Pilon (née Ingram). Loving father of Kathleen St. Louis (late Robert) of Gatineau, Ronald Pilon (Gwen) of Saskatoon and Robert Pilon (Patricia) of Regina. Proud grandfather of Brian (Stephanie), Paul (Patricia), Brent, Laine (Sean), Ryan, Derek and Janelle and great-grandfather of Jeff, Alex, Brendan and Olivier. Predeceased by his parents, Paul Pilon and Catherine Pilon (née Parette), his brothers, Clarence, John, Louis and Neil Pilon and his sisters, Pearl Enz, Alice St. Germain, Florence Hughes and Isobel McPhail. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd MacDonell. Survived by one sister, Agnes Manley of Chesterville, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents, John Joseph and Maud (McGahey) MacDonald and six sisters, Eileen Cerre, Mary Olowich, Marguerite Currier, Loretta and Rita MacDonald and Violet Thachuk, and by two brothers, Alex and Bernard MacDonald.
