CHARGES LAID: (South Stormont) – On 17Nov09, at approximately 9:30pm, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Moulinette Road, South Stormont Township. The stop revealed that the 21-year-old male driver (Matthew Osborne of South Dundas) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and faces charges of Impaired Driving-Motor Vehicle; Drive Over 80mgs-Motor Vehicle. He is scheduled to appear 08Dec09 in Cornwall court. (North Dundas) – On 22Nov09, at approximately 1:30am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on County Road 31, North Dundas Township. The stop revealed that the 43-year-old male driver (Marc Goupil of Morrisburg) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and faces charges of Impaired Driving-Motor Vehicle; Drive Over 80mgs-Motor Vehicle. He is scheduled to appear 05Jan10 in Morrisburg court. (South Glengarry) – On 21Nov09, at approximately 10:00pm, SD&G OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program at the junction of on County Road 34 and 17 in the village of Lancaster. A grey Honda was checked at the RIDE stop and the 46-year-old male driver (Roderick Allen Macleod of North Glengarry Township) was found to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and faces charges of Impaired Driving-Motor Vehicle; Drive Over 80mgs-Motor Vehicle. He is scheduled to appear 16Dec09 in Alexandria court.

BREACHED CONDITIONS: (North Dundas) – On 17Nov09, at approximately 7:30pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of a male breaching his earlier release conditions on Baker Road, North Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that a 49-year-old male was in a residence with a female that he was ordered not to associate with. He was arrested and faces a charge of Fail to Comply – Undertaking Before Officer in Charge. He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

DRUGS: Cornwall, Ont. – On the 12th of November, 2009 the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit, assisted by the O.P.P. Drug Enforcement Section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Search warrant at a Montreal Road residence. As a result of the search a quantity of drugs, believed to be marijuana were seized. As a result of the investigation: Lorie Carr, 27, of Cornwall has been arrested and charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was released to appear in court on the 12th of January, 2010.

Cornwall, Ont. – Elijah Peter Cole, 23, of Akwesasne was arrested on the 19th of November, 2009. It is alleged that he was travelling through the point of entry at Canada Customs in possession of a controlled substance, believed to be marijuana. He was arrested by a member of the Canada Border Services Agency and held in custody until the arrival of a Cornwall Community Police Service officer. He was released to appear in court on the 29th of December, 2009.

WARRANT: Cornwall, Ont. – Justin Rupert, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for Failing to Attend Court on the 16th of October, 2009. On the 17th of November, 2009 he turned himself into police and was held in custody for court.

Cornwall, Ont. – David Kerry Gorrow, 48, of Cornwall was arrested on the strength of an outstanding Probation warrant for Breach of Conditional Sentence on the 18th of November, 2009. The male was located walking on Marlborough Street by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service and upon verification, it was learned that the warrant existed. He was arrested and held in custody until court later that day.

Cornwall, Ont. – Denis B. Cote, 30, of Gatineau Quebec was arrested by the Gatineau Police on the 18th of November, 2009 on the strength of two outstanding warrants issued by the Cornwall Community Police Service. The warrants were executed and he was handed over to the Cornwall Police Service and held in custody until court later that day.

Cornwall, Ont. – Daniel Rheal Brisson, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on the 19th of November, 2009. It is alleged that he failed to re-attend court on previous charges and a warrant for his arrest was requested. He attended the Cornwall Community Police Service Headquarters on an unrelated matter and was arrested and was later released to appear in court on the 29th of December, 2009.

Cornwall, Ont. – Shawn Boulet, 29, of LaSalle Quebec was arrested on the 21st of November, 2009 on the strength of an outstanding warrant. He was attempting to enter Cornwall through the point of entry and was arrested by a member of the Canada Border Services Agency. It is alleged that he failed to attend court on the 20th of October, 2009 and a warrant for his arrest had been requested. He was held in custody until court the next day.

Cornwall, Ont. – Raymond Robert Gervais Jr. was arrested on the 23rd of November, 2009 for Breach of Probation. He was bound by conditions to report to his Probation Officer as directed, to reside at a place approved by his Probation Officer and to attend and actively participate in such rehabilitative programs for counselling as recommended by his Probation Officer. It is alleged that between the 28th of September, 2009 and the 26th of October, 2009 he failed to comply with his conditions. A warrant for his arrest was requested. He was arrested by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service for 3 counts of Breach of Probation and held in custody until court on the 24th of November, 2009.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE, BREACH OF PROBATION and DRUG POSSESSION: Cornwall, Ont. – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 17th of November, 2009 for several offences. He was bound by a Recognizance Order with conditions to Abstain from Communicating with a specific youth, to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and Abstain from Possessing of Illicit drugs. He was further bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on that date, he was in the company of this youth when stopped by police. A search of the youth further uncovered drugs, believed to be marijuana. He was arrested for 3 counts of Breach of Recognizance, 1 count of Breach of Probation and 1 count of Possession of drugs. He was held in custody until court the following day.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a red 4-door 2000 Ford Focus overnight on the 17th of November, 2009 from the 500 block of York Street. Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer overnight on the 16th of November, 2009 from a McKenzie Avenue residence. The vehicle has a small amount of damage to the right side plastic running board. Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a blue 1990 GMC Sierra pickup truck from the 600 block of Guy Street sometime between the 21st of November and the 23rd of November. WARRANT, MISCHIEF and BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE: Cornwall, Ont. – Ashley Whitney David-Thompson, 18, of Akwesasne was arrested for several offences on the 18th of November, 2009. She was bound by a Recognizance Order with condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Abide by her current release and probation orders. She was further bound by a Probation Order with condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on that date she caused mischief to a motor vehicle by etching the paint. She was arrested for Mischief Under $5,000, 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance and 1 count of Breach of Probation. She was further arrested on the strength of an outstanding O.P.P. warrant. She was held in custody until court on the 19th of November, 2009.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, ASSAULT and BREAK AND ENTER: Cornwall, Ont. – A 31-year-old Cornwall male was arrested for several offences on the 18th of November, 2009. It is alleged that on the 11th of May, 2009 he shoved his girlfriend to the ground, removed her cell phone and struck her. Sometime between the 11th of May and the 1st of September, 2009, it is further alleged that he threw his girlfriend on the couch, held her down and applied pressure. The victim further alleges that during the same time frame, he would enter her residence without her consent and await her arrival. The victim also alleges that he attempted to contact the victim by telephone at least 20 times on the 17th of November, 2009. He was arrested for Criminal Harassment, Assault with a Weapon, 2 counts of Assault and 1 count of Break and Enter. He was held in custody until court on the 19th of November, 2009. UTTER THREATS TO PROPERTY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT and BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE: Cornwall, Ont. – A 20-year-old St-Andrews West female was arrested on several offences on the 18th of November, 2009. The female was bound by a Recognizance Order with condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that she uttered a threat to cause damage to her ex-boyfriends’ residence. It is further alleged that she made approximately 40 phone calls to her ex on the 16th of November and more calls on the 18th of November. She was arrested for Utter Threats to Property, Criminal Harassment and 1 count of Breach of Recognizance. She was held in custody until court the following day. BREAK AND ENTER: Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter in the 1000 block of McConnell Avenue between the hours of 01:30 and 10:30 on the 18th of November, 2009. Cornwall, Ont. – Sometime between the hours of 3 o’clock and 5 o’clock on the 20th of November, 2009 suspect(s) entered a Lennox Street apartment and stole property. Entry was gained through the main entrance door to the residence. The suspect(s) stole a Nintendo GameCube, six games and 2 DVDs. Cornwall, Ont. – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred on the 20th of November, 2009 in the 200 block of Guy Street while the owner was away for 15 minutes. Entry was gained through read door window. The owner reports that nothing was stolen. If you have any information regarding this break and enter, please contact the service by dialing 613-932-2110. (North Glengarry) – On 21Nov09, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break and enter on Paragon Road, South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) attended a residence and removed various carpentry tools from the garage. The investigation is ongoing. (South Glengarry) – On 21Nov09, at approximately 11:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break and enter on Main St. Alexandria. The investigation revealed that sometime between 19 and 20Nov09, unknown suspects gained entry into a secure storage area by cutting the chain link fence. Once inside the suspects(s) removed 3 BTU (5100) Air Conditioners; 2 Tera Dome Tents. The investigation is ongoing.

THEFT and BREACH OF UNDERTAKING: Cornwall, Ont. – A 15-year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 18th of November, 2009. She was bound by an Undertaking with condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on that date she stole property from a Water Street East department store. She was arrested and charged with Theft Under and 1 count of Breach of Undertaking. She was released to appear in court on the 17th of December, 2009 to answer to these charges. Her name is not being released due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH OF PROBATION: Cornwall, Ont. – A 30-year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 19th of November, 2009 for breaching his Probation Order conditions: Not to Associate, contact or hold any communication directly or indirectly with a specific female and to Keep the Peace and to be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that he made contact by telephone with the female on the 18th of November, 2009. He was arrested the following day with 2 counts of Breach of Probation and released to appear in court on the 29th of November, 2009 to answer to these charges. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE, THEFT and FALSE PRETENSES: Cornwall, Ont. – Kimberly Ann Stephenson, 33, of Cornwall was arrested for several offences which started on the 13th of November, 2009. She was bound by a Recognizance Order with condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that she stole property from 2 department stores in the city of Cornwall. It is further alleged that she would enter a store empty-handed and attempt to return property from within that store without documentation. She was arrested for 5 counts of Theft Under, 8 counts of Breach of Recognizance and 3 counts of False PRETENSES. She was held in custody until court on the 20th of November, 2009.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT: (North Stormont) – On 19Nov09, at approximately 12:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Gravel Hill Road, North Stormont Township. The investigation revealed that a female and her 48-year-old husband were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male threatening the female. He was arrested and faces a charge of Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm. He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

IMPAIRED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE and DRUGS: Cornwall, Ont. – Randy M. Crites, 50, of Cornwall was arrested on the 21st of November, 2009 during a routine traffic stop. It is alleged that he was operating his motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and a search of the vehicle uncovered drugs, believed to be cocaine. He was further charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and later released to appear in court on the 24th of December, 2009.

IMPAIRED OPERATION and OVER 80: Cornwall, Ont. – Kevin J. Prieur, 58, of Cornwall was arrested during a traffic stop on the 22nd of November, 2009. It is alleged that he was operating his motorcycle at a high rate of speed on Ninth Street while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and subsequent testing resulted in a charge of Over .80. He was later released to appear in court on the 29th of December, 2009 to answer to these charges.

ASSAULT and BREACH OF PROBATION: Cornwall, Ont. – John Phillip Breyer, 23, of Cornwall was arrested in the early morning of November 22nd, 2009 by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was bound by a Probation Order with condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Abstain from the purchase, possession or consumption of alcohol or other intoxicating substances. It is alleged that while under the influence of alcohol, he assaulted a female by grabbing her neck and arms. He was arrested for Assault and 2 counts of Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court the following day.

ASSAULT: Cornwall, Ont. – A 24-year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 22nd of November, 2009 for domestic assault. It is alleged that he grabbed his girlfriend by the arm while the two were travelling in a taxi. He was charged with Assault and held in custody until court on the 23rd of November, 2009. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident. (South Glengarry) – On 22Nov09, at approximately 4:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an assault on Tyotown Road, South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that while a male and female were being transported to an address in South Glengarry via taxi, they became involved in a verbal altercation. When the male driver of the taxi cab requested the male to calm down the driver was threatened. The 24-year-old male passenger (from Cornwall) was arrested and faces charges of Assault; Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm. He is scheduled to appear 06Jan10 in Alexandria court.

DOMESTIC BREAK AND ENTER: Cornwall, Ont. – A 28-year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 22nd of November, 2009 for a break and enter. It is alleged that on the 7th of November, 2009 he attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and gained entry into her home by removing the basement window after being advised by the victim that he was not welcome. He was arrested for Break and Enter and released to appear in court on the 26th of January, 2010. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT: (North Dundas) – On 21Nov09, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Crump Road, North Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that on 20Nov09, at approximately 8:30pm a female and her 40-year-old common-law husband were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male threatening and assaulting the female. The male attended the Winchester detachment on 22Nov09 where he was arrested and faces charges of Assault. Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm; Forcible Confinement; Overcoming Resistance to Commit Indictable Offence. He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court. (South Stormont) – On 22Nov09, at approximately 3:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Maloney Road, South Stormont Township. The investigation revealed that a female and her 47-year-old male boyfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male damaging property in the residence. He was arrested and faces a charge of Mischief Under $5,000. He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

FRAUD OVER $5,000 and UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT: Cornwall, Ont. – Amanda Marleau, 21, of Cornwall was arrested on the 23rd of November, 2009 for a fraud-related incident. It is alleged that she altered a cheque to her advantage and then made withdrawals reflecting the altered amount. She was arrested for Fraud Over $5,000 and Utter Forged Document and held in custody until court on the 24th of November, 2009.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE and OBSTRUCT A POLICE OFFICER: Cornwall, Ont. – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested for a domestic related incident on the 23rd of November, 2009. He was bound by a Recognizance Order with condition to not associate or communicate directly or indirectly with a specific female, not to attend her residence and not to be within 50 metres of her residence. It is alleged that he was involved in a verbal argument with the female and police were contacted. It is further alleged that he provided police with a false name during the investigation. He was later arrested at her residence for Obstruct a Police Officer and 3 counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody until court on the 24th of November, 2009. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE: Cornwall, Ont. – Scott Brian Lauzon, 25, of Cornwall was arrested for breaching his Recognizance Order conditions on the 23rd of November, 2009. He was bound with conditions to not be away from his residence between specific hours and to abstain from the consumption of alcohol absolutely or being found any place where alcohol is sold. It is alleged that he was consuming alcohol at a Vincent Massey Drive establishment on the 17th of October, 2009 after curfew when members of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended. He was arrested for 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court on the 24th of November, 2009.

ASSAULT and UNLAWFULLY IN A DWELLING: Cornwall, Ont. – Rita Mertes-Morrison, 37, of Cornwall was arrested on the 23rd of November, 2009. It is alleged that she attended a residence and entered after being warned that her presence was not welcome. It is further alleged that she struck a female resident causing minor injury. She was arrested for 1 count of Assault and 1 count of Unlawfully in a dwelling. She was released to appear in court on the 29th of December, 2009.
