PROULX – Rolland

Passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Glen-Story-Dun Lodge at the age of 81 years formerly of Cornwall. Former employee of Courtaulds and Honourary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus, Ontario Council 755. Beloved husband of 60 years of Pauline (Cousineau) Proulx. Dear father of Paul Amedee Proulx (Ginette Bourdon) of Gatineau, and cherished grandfather of Stephanie and Melanie. Dear brother of Euclide Proulx of Cornwall, Mrs. Edna Faubert and Mrs. Elise McSorley (Pat) both of Pickering. Dear son of the late Napoleon Proulx and the late Elizabeth McDonald. Predeceased by three brothers Gustave, Jean-Paul and Raymond Proulx and two sisters Mrs. Pauline Bergeron and Mrs. Anna Gadbois. Resting at Boulerice Funeral Home Ltd., (613-932-5455), 218 Montreal Road on Tuesday, April 21 from 2 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22 for Mass of Christian Burial in Nativity Co-Cathedral at 10 a.m. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. The family will be in attendance on Tuesday, April 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, April 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

NAKIC – Marko

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the age of 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Marija (Kursan) Nakic. Dear father of Slavko “Steve” Nakic (Carol) and Blanko Nakic. He will be sadly missed by his loving grandchildren Steven, Lance and Shane Nakic. Predeceased by his parents Petar and Antica (Belak) Naki, two brothers, Joko and Boze Nakic and two sisters Iva and Boja Kursan. Friends will be received at M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt St. (across from City Hall) on Tuesday, April 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 22 at St. Columban’s Church at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. OUDERKIRK – Edith

Passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Mason Ouderkirk. Loving mother of Ken Ouderkirk (Helen) of Avonmore. Dear sister of Edna Meldrum of Finch, Muriel Montgomery of Edmonton, Ann Felley of Verona and Eunice Carruthers (Wallace) of Chesterville. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Brendan, Caitlin, Danika, Megan, Brianna, Ronald and Gerald. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Nellie (Kinnear) MacMillan and one brother Aden MacMillan (Ina MacMillan) of Chesterville. Visitation will be held at Brownlee Funeral Home, 18 Front St., Finch on Wednesday, April 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A service in celebration of Edith’s life will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, April 23 at 11 a.m. Reverend Lois Gaudet officiating. Interment to follow at Finch Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.

BOYCE – Garth Bentley

Passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital – McConnell Site on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the age of 77 years. Retired Domtar employee. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Anne Gosling. Loved father of Judith Boyce, of Ottawa; Janet Campbell, Jocelyn Begg (Ron) and Jayne Villeneuve (late Brad) all of Cornwall. Sadly missed by his three grandchildren Murray and Lindsay Campbell, and Kaitlyn Villeneuve. Loving son of the late Winfield and Kathleen (Shields) Boyce. Dear brother of Dwight Boyce (Pat) of Kingston. Predeceased by one brother Dale Boyce. He will be especially missed by his close friend Doris Balcom of Syracuse, New York, and is also survived by two sisters-in-law Kathy Kittle and Joan Boyce. Resting at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt St. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, April 22 from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral at 11 a.m. Interment at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery.
