Scotiabank unveils a new brand: DundeeWealth rebrands to become HollisWealth

Cornwall, Ontario – DundeeWealth, the brand name used by Scotiabank for one of Canada’s largest independent financial advisor networks, is set to undergo a service-wide rebrand. Effective November 1, 2013, the

brand name DundeeWealth, as used by Scotiabank, will change to HollisWealth for its independent advisor channel.

Commencing November 1, 2013, HollisWealth will unite more than 900 independent advisors offering a range of financial services, from brokerage to mutual funds, insurance and mortgages, under a single and distinctive brand.

The name HollisWealth is derived from the location of Scotiabank’s first head office building which was constructed in 1837 at 188 Hollis Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

“As a brand, HollisWealth embraces our existing independent and entrepreneurial spirit while recognizing the stability that comes from being a part of one of Canada’s oldest and most respected banks” said Tuula Jalasjaa, Managing Director & Head of DundeeWealth’s retail advisor network.

“Acquired by Scotiabank in 2011, I believe that our model of independent advice backed by the stability of a bank works best for investors. It offers maximum flexibility for our advisors to choose the right investment products for their clients, including the products and services offered by Scotiabank” continues Jalasjaa.
