Young performers shine at acting camp

CORNWALL, Ontario – Young starlets, many of whom got their first chance to perform before a live audience, were centre stage as a popular Cornwall acting camp wrapped up for the summer.

The summer acting camp at the Cornwall Civic Complex, was put on by Cornwall’s Dream Maker production company and featured youngsters aged seven to 13 performing skits and scenes before about 50 adults.

Many of the performances were written by the young people themselves.

Dave Runions, the convener of the camp, told audience members he was particularly impressed with the focus and dedication many of the students displayed thorughout the week.
