CORNWALL, Ontario – Police are searching for answers in two separate break and enters at the Cornwall courthouse.

Local law enforcement is asking for the public’s help to solve the case. Whether or not the break and enters are connected is still unconfirmed.

The break-ins occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 30, and 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 1.

After breaking the glass door to gain entry into the building, the suspect or suspects rifled through some offices.

Sgt. Shawn Martelle said the investigation is still ongoing. In his 23 years as a Cornwall police officer, this type of courthouse caper is a first.

Camera footage is still under review.
