Police shut down suspected meth lab in South Dundas

CORNWALL, Ontario – A synthetic drug lab was dismantled by police in South Dundas.

On Oct. 24, members of multiple policing agencies executed a warrant at a residence on Forest Road in Williamsburg. Inside a “bungalow-style dwelling,” officers uncovered a sophisticated synthetic drug lab suspected of producing methamphetamine.

Cornwall Police and Ontario Provincial Police aided in the case. Police seized over $15,000 and samples of various substances. The chemicals seized from the synthetic drug lab are being submitted to Health Canada for expert analysis.

29-year-old Philippe Raymond of Greely was arrested at the scene.

He faces multiple drug chrages and was transported to the Cornwall courthouse for a bail hearing.
