Police Briefs: Dec. 30, 2013

THEFT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Cory Sabourin, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on December 27th, 2013 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of an undertaking for being at a specific store despite being on conditions not to and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on December 27th, 2013 the man attended a Vincent Massey store and removed some CDs and DVDs without making any attempts to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man who was still in the area was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Carl Beckstead, 62 of Cornwall was arrested on December 27th, 2013 and charged with breaching his recognizance for having consumed alcohol outside his residence. It is alleged that on December 27th, 2013 police attended the area of Montreal Road and Prince Arthur Street in relation to a suspicious person. On arrival they located the intoxicated man, took him into custody and charged him accordingly. He was then held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 28th, 2013 and charged with breaching his youth probation order for being out past curfew, associating with someone known to have a criminal record and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on December 28th, 2013 at approximately 10pm the man was spotted walking in the area of McConnell Avenue and Walton Street by an officer on patrol. The man who was accompanied by a person known to have a criminal record was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the probation order stems from incidents when the man was a youth.

Cornwall, On Amanda Piotrowski, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on December 29th, 2013 and charged with breaching an undertaking for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of December 29th, 2013 the woman was spotted by police in the area of Montreal Road. Upon speaking with the woman police detected an odour of alcohol from her breath and took her into custody for the breach. She was charged accordingly and later released with a court date of February 6th, 2014.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 58-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on December 28th, 2013 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on December 28th, 2013 the woman was involved in an argument with a 44-year-old woman when she struck the 44-year-old in the jaw. Police were contacted to attend the Twelfth Street address and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

PERSONATION, OBSTRUCT POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Sasha Knox, 25 of Long Sault was arrested on December 29th, 2013 and charged with personation and obstruct police. It is alleged that on December 29th, 2013 the woman was stopped by police for a traffic violation at which time she falsely identified herself as someone else. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released with a court date of January 20th, 2014.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Long Sault man was arrested on December 29th, 2013 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged that during the month of December, 2013 the man continually contacted his 28-year-old ex-girlfriend from Cornwall despite having been warned not to. On December 29th, 2013 the man was arrested and charged accordingly. He was later released with a court date of January 7th, 2014. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Timothy Williams, 49 of St-Andrews was arrested on December 24th, 2013 and charged with breaching his recognizance for having consumed alcohol. It is alleged that on December 24th, 2013 the man was spotted walking on Pitt Street when police spoke with him and detected the smell of alcohol. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released with a court date of January 28th, 2014.

Cornwall, ON – Albert Jocko, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on December 24th, 2013 and charged with breaching his recognizance for attending Cornwall Island, failing to keep the peace, associating with someone known to have a criminal record and not carrying his release papers with him. It is alleged that on December 24th, 2013 the man was returning from Cornwall Island with someone known to have a criminal record when he was stopped by a CBSA officer at the port of entry. He was taken into custody and found to have a small quantity of marihuana on him. The Cornwall Community Police were contacted and assumed custody of the man and charged him accordingly. The man was then held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED

Cornwall, ON – Michel Lascelle, 48 of St-Andrews was arrested on December 24th, 2013 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged that on December 24th, 2013 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while on Pitt Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop and charged accordingly. He was later released with a court date of January 9th, 2014.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on December 23rd, 2013 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on December 21st, 2013 the woman was involved in a verbal argument with her 29-year-old ex-boyfriend while in the area of Prince Albert and Louisa Street when she punched him in the head. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 23rd, 2013 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 18th, 2014. Her name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

 

SSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Christian Blais, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on December 20th, 2013 and charged with threats, assault and assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on December 20th, 2013 the man attended a Prince Arthur Street address and while holding a knife threatened to stab an 18-year-old man over a debt. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Ann Andrews, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on December 22nd, 2013 and charged with breaching her recognizance for having consumed alcohol. It is alleged that on December 22nd, 2013 police were called to attend an Adolphus Street residence in relation to a disturbance. Once at the residence the woman was found to be under the influence of alcohol despite being on conditions not to consume alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Angel Dore, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on December 19th, 2013 and charged with breaching an undertaking for having failed to attend for prints. It is alleged that on December 9th, 2013 the woman failed to attend police headquarters for prints as required and as a result an investigation ensued. On December 19th, 2013 police located the woman at her residence and took her into custody. The woman was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 20th, 2013 and charged with breaching his probation order for having associated with a certain woman, being within 100 mtres of her and failing to keep the peace. The man was also charged with breaching his probation order for not notifying a change of address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of December 20th, 2013 police were contacted to attend a St-Felix Street address in relation to a disturbance. Once on scene they found the man to be breaching his conditions by living with the woman for which he has conditions not to. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly. ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, OVERCOME RESISTANCE BY ATTEMPTING TO CHOKE

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 19th, 2013 and charged with the following:

It is alleged that on December 18th, 2013 the man stuck a needle in his 33-year-old girlfriend’s forearm on two occasions without her permission. Then on December 19th, 2013 during an argument the man punched his girlfriend in the head and threw her down then proceeded to choke her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 19th, 2013 the man who had left prior to police arrival attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. THEFT UNDER

Cornwall, ON – Cameron Brassard, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on December 18th, 2013 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on December 18th, 2013 the man attended a Ninth Street store and removed 2 bottles of vitamins without making any efforts to pay for the items. The man was stopped by the loss prevention officer and police were contacted. The man was then taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released with a court date of January 23rd, 2014.

Cornwall, ON – Jeffrey Leblanc, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on December 18th, 2013 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on October 18th, 2013 the man attended a construction site on McConnell Avenue and removed copper piping. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 18th, 2013 police attended the Provincial Courthouse as the man was there on an unrelated matter. The man was charged accordingly and returned to court staff in order to answer to the charges.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Daniel D’Aoust, 22 of Brockville was arrested on December 16th, 2013 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that in the month of August, 2012 the man failed to report to police as directed and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. On December 16th, 2013 the Cornwall Community Police attended Morrisburg to assume custody of the man as OPP had the man in custody. The man was taken into custody by the Cornwall Community Police, transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED

Cornwall, ON – Nicholas Thayler, 21 of Apple Hill was arrested on December 16th, 2013 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. It is alleged that on December 16th, 2013 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Pacific Lane. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and transported to police headquarters where he was later released with a court date of December 31st, 2013.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Andrew Ross, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on December 13th, 2013 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on December 7th, 2013 the man was found to be breaching his conditional sentence order by not abiding by full house arrest and failing to notify change of address. On December 13th, 2013 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Johnathon Beauvais, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on December 14th, 2013 and charged with breaching his undertaking for failing to notify a change in address and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breaching a recognizance for not reporting to his bail supervisor. It is alleged that on December 10th, 2013 the man failed to attend a scheduled meeting and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation it was learned that the man also moved and failed to notify the change in address. Police attended a Lennox Street address, located the man, took him into custody and transported him to police headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Amberise Hagey, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on December 14th, 2013 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of December 14th, 2013 the woman was under the influence of alcohol while operating a motor vehicle in the area of Vincent Massey Drive when she was involved in a collision with another vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later releases with a future court date.

BREAK AND ENTER, BREACHES

Cornwall, ON – Tylar Jarvis, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on December 15th, 2013 and charged with break and enter along with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on December 15th, 2013 the man attended a Lefebvre Avenue address and forced his way into the residence and removed a lap top and a small quantity of Canadian currency. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 15th, 2013 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released with a court date of the 23rd of January, 2014.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kassidy Normandeau, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on December 11th, 2013 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that the woman failed to attend court on December 10th, 2013 and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On December 11th, 2013 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody and later released with a court date of January 14th, 2014.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Paul Emile Chartrand, 69 of Cornwall was arrested on December 11th, 2013 and charged with breaching a recognizance for having failed to sign in at police headquarters and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breaching an undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on December 9th, 2013 the man failed to attend the police headquarters to sign in and on December 11th, 2013 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Dylan Moses, 30 of Akwesasne was arrested on December 11th, 2013 and charged with breaching his recognizance for being away from his residence without his surety. It is alleged that on December 11th, 2013 the man was found to be out without his surety when he was stopped by custom officials at the port of entry. Police were contacted and assumed custody of the man. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Francois Cote, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on December 11th, 2013 and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged that the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle in the area of Guy Street and Montreal Road while under the influence of alcohol. During a traffic stop the man was taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and later released with a court date of December 31st, 2013.

 

 

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on December 10th, 2013 and charged with breaching his recognizance for being away from his residence without permission and breaking house rules. He was also charged with breaching a probation order for breaching the curfew and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on December 10th, 2013 the youth left school and did not return home before his curfew. Police were called and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the youth returned home and was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 9th, 2013 and charged with criminal harassment and threats to life. It is alleged that for the last two months the man continually called his 22-year-old ex-common law wife despite having been told not to and during one of the calls the man threatened to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 9th, 2013 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Ann Andrews, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on December 9th, 2013 on the strength of a witness warrant. On December 9th, 2013 police located the woman at her residence, took her into custody on the strength of the warrant and transported her to police headquarters where she was held for a bail hearing.

BREACHES

Cornwall, ON – Johnathon Beauvais, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on December 9th, 2013 and charged with breaching his undertaking for not carrying his documents, failing to keep the peace and not notifying a change of address. It is alleged that on December 9th, 2013 police were called to attend 1 Water Street for a disturbance. Once on scene it was learned that the man gave security a difficult time and police were contacted. The man failed to surrender his release documents and investigation revealed he did not notify a change of address. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

 

 

THEFT

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Maxville youth was arrested on December 6th, 2013 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that the youth removed four pairs of gloves and spray paint from a store on Marleau Avenue where he was completing his co-op placement. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 6th, 2013 during their investigation the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was arrested, charged accordingly and released with a court date of January 16th, 2014. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ROBBERY, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – Philip Jodoin, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on December 6th, 2013 and charged with robbery, possession of a controlled substance, breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace and for having consumed drugs. It is alleged that on December 6th, 2013 the man attended a local pharmacy and demanded Fentanyl patches all the while indicating he had a knife. The man then left with an undisclosed quantity of the Fentanyl patches. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation police located the man at a Vincent Massey Drive motel and found that he was in possession of cocaine and that he had been consuming drugs. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly then held for a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 6th, 2013 and charged with break and enter and assault. It is alleged that on December 6th, 2013 the man attended his 31-year-old ex-girlfriend’s residence and damaged the door to gain entry into her apartment. Once inside the couple were involved in an argument and during the argument the man punched the woman in the head and spat in her face. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation they located the man at a St-Felix Street address, took him into custody and charged him accordingly. The man was to attend a bail hearing.

BREACHES

Cornwall, ON – Cassandra Garreau, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on December 7th, 2013 and charged with breaching a recognizance for having communicated with someone she was not supposed to. It is alleged that on November 19th, 2013 the woman was spotted in the company of a woman with who she has conditions to not communicate with. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 7th, 2013 while conducting bar checks police spotted the woman at a local bar and found that she was now breaching her recognizance for communicating with a different woman with who she has conditions not to, for being away from her residence, consuming alcohol and for being in contact with someone known to have a criminal record. The woman was taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Janay Niles, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on December 7th, 2013 and charged with breaching her recognizance for being out past curfew, being at a specific bar and associating with someone she has conditions not to. It is alleged that on December 7th, 2013 during a bar check police spotted the woman who is bound by conditions of not to be at that specific bar. The woman was also breaching her conditions by being out past curfew and associating with someone she was not to. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Kelly Allen, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on December 7th, 2013 and charged with breaching a recognizance and a probation order for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on December 7th, 2013 police attended a Montreal Street address in relation to a disturbance. On arrival it was learned that the intoxicated man who was causing the disturbance left prior to police arrival. The man was located by police at a St-Felix Street address, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 7th, 2013 and charged with assault. It is alleged that on December 5th, 2013 the man was involved in an argument with his 36-year-old common law wife when he pushed her. On December 7th, 2013 police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on December 7th, 2013 and charged with the following:

It is alleged that on December 7th, 2013 the intoxicated youth was involved in a verbal argument with his 18-year-old girlfriend when he grabbed a knife, kicked in the bathroom door and threatened to stab her and kill his mother if she was to show up. The man then threatened to harm his girlfriend’s cat with the knife and as she was leaving the residence he was pushed her. Shortly after leaving the woman received a call from the youth stating he was going to burn down the house. Police were called and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 5th, 2013 and charged with assault and threats. It is alleged that on December 5th, 2013 the man was involved in a verbal argument with his 23-year-old common law wife when he slapped and punched her in the head all the while threatening to harm her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation they took the man into custody and charged him accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED

Cornwall, ON – Simon Groulx, 71 of Cornwall was arrested on December 5th, 2013 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. It is alleged that on December 5th, 2013 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle in the area of Pitt Street and Ninth Street while under the influence of alcohol. During a traffic stop the man was taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released with a court of December 17th, 2013.

 

 

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Jamie Garlow, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on December 3rd, 2013 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on October 24th, 2013 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 3rd, 2013 police attended the man’s residence and took him into custody. He was transported and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Steven Johnson, 27 of Akwesasne was arrested on December 3rd, 2013 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on June 8th, 2011 the man failed to attend for prints and as a result a court date was set. On November 28th, 2013 the man then failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 3rd, 2013 police were called to attend the Cornwall Court House as the man was currently in custody on an unrelated matter. The man was arrested on the strength of the warrant and remained in custody for a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Robert Corbette, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on December 3rd, 2013 and charged with break and enter. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of December 3rd, 2013 the man was found to be within a secured yard of an abandoned building on Cumberland Street. After a brief foot chase the man was taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was later released to appear in court on December 24th, 2013.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kyle Gumbley, 27 of Alexandria was arrested on November 29th, 2013 on the strength of a warrant. On November 29th, 2013 police attended the Cornwall Court House as it was learned that the man was being held there for an unrelated matter and that there was a warrant for his arrest. The man was arrested on the outstanding warrant and was held for a bail hearing.

It is alleged that the woman failed to attend court on November 26th, 2013 as directed and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On November 29th, 2013 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody then released with a future court date.

It is alleged that the man failed to attend court on November 26th, 2013 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 29th, 2013 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody and released with a court date of December 3rd, 2013.

Cornwall, ON – Deborah Cooper, 43 of Cornwall was arrested on November 29th, 2013 and charged with breaching her undertaking for having failed to sign in with Cornwall Police as directed. It is alleged that the woman failed to sign in as directed on November18th, and 25th, 2013 and an investigation ensued. On November 29th, 2013 the woman was located at her residence, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was then held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Scott Flaro, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on November 29th, 2013 and charged with breaching a prohibition order for having been where persons under the age of sixteen are present or can reasonably be expected to be present. It is alleged that on November 16th, 2013 the man attended the Santa Clause parade. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 29th, 2013 during their investigation the man was located at his residence, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Justin Pawis, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on December 1st, 2013 and charged with breaching a recognizance for being out past curfew. It is alleged that on December 1st, 2013 during a routine bar check police located the man at a local bar. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and transported to police headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 30th, 2013 and charged with mischief, public mischief and breach of a probation order for failing to keep the peace and failing to notify change of address. It is alleged that on November 30th, 2013 the man was involved in an argument with a 49-year-old female and during the argument turned off the power to the house then disconnected the power source outside the residence. The intoxicated man then contacted police to attend the area for gunshots. Police attended and an investigation ensued. During their investigation they located the man, took him into custody and charged him accordingly for making a false report to police ( gunshots), mischief and breach of probation as it was learned that he moved without notifying the proper agency. The man was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT, BREACH, THEFT

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 1st, 2013 and charged with assault, theft and breach of a probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on December1st, 2013 the man was involved in an argument with his 24-year-old girlfriend while at her residence when he punched her in the head and left with a small amount of her money. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation they located the man at a nearby residence, took him into custody and charged him accordingly. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.

It is alleged that in the early morning hours of November 22nd, 2013 the man had broke the rear windows of four vehicles parked on Glengarry Boulevard. Cornwall, ON – Jessyca Coleman, 24 of Cornwall was arrested and charged with two counts of break and enter, one count of theft under $5000, breach of an undertaking along with ten counts of breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on November 16, 2013 the woman was responsible for removing a television from an Alice Street residence without the owner’s consent. On November 19th, 2013 the woman entered an unlocked St-Felix Street address and took a GPS. Police were contacted and located the woman at a neighbouring house. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released with a future court date. After her release on November 19,2013 the woman broke into a Dundee Street address and took a sum of Canadian coin, two watches, beer and pop. Police were contacted and investigations ensued. On November 19th, 2013 police located the woman at a Guy Street address, took her into custody and charged her accordingly. She was then held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Philip Jodoin, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on November 19th, 2013 and charged with theft over $5000. It is alleged that on November 11th, 2013 the man entered a Brookdale Avenue commerce and removed approximately $12,000.00 of Canadian currency. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Cornwall, ON – Travis Pyke, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on November 14th, 2013 and Stephanie Lynch, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on November 18th, 2013. Both were charged with possession of marihuana, possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. On November 14th, 2013 the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a First Street East apartment and located 15.8 grams of cocaine along with 5.5 grams.

Cornwall, ON – Larry Seguin, 42 and Sandi Branchaud, 27 both of Cornwall were arrested on November 15th, 2013 and charged with theft under $5000. Seguin was also charged with breaching his probation order and Branchaud was also charged with breaching her undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on November 11th, 2013 both attended a Marlborough Street store, took candy and curds then left without paying for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Cornwall, ON – Deborah Cooper, 43 of Cornwall was arrested on November 15th, 2013 and charged with assault police and mischief. It is alleged that on November 15th, 2013 police were attending an Eighth Street address in relation to an unwanted person call when they spotted the intoxicated female leaving the area. Police attempted to take her into custody for being intoxicated in a public place at which point the female kicked the cruiser door causing it to dent. She was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters where during the booking process she struck an officer on the arm. Cornwall, ON – Cory Sabourin 35 of Cornwall was arrested on November 16th, 2013 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged that on November 16th, 2013 the man attended a Brookdale Avenue store and removed several CDs and DVDs without making any attempts to pay for them. Cornwall, ON – Shelly Michaud, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on November 8th, 2013 and charged with two counts of assault police. It is alleged that on November 8th, 2013 police were dispatched to a disturbance on Hamilton Crescent and while conducting an investigation police were speaking with an intoxicated woman when she punched an officer in the chest. Cornwall, ON – Lindsay Archambault, 19 and Brandon Bush, 21 both of Cornwall were arrested on October 28th, 2013 and charged with theft under $5000, and the woman also faced an additional charge of breaching an undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on October 28th, 2013 they both attended a Brookdale Avenue store and attempted to removed Halloween costumes and a cop badge without paying for the items. OSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE, PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on October 26, 2013 and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and property obtained by crime. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of October 26, 2013 police were contacted to attend a Baldwin Street residence in relation to a disturbance. On arrival they observed youths running from the area and located one youth hiding under a vehicle. A search of his backpack revealed a quantity of marihuana. Further to the marihuana a quantity of Canadian currency was also located .The youth was taken into custody and charged accordingly. The estimated street value of the drugs is $413.00. The youth was later released with a future court date. The youth’s name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

It is alleged that in the early morning hours of October 27, 2013 during a routine traffic stop in the area of Second Street at Amelia the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. During their investigation the man who had left the residence was spotted walking on Second Street near Nick Kaneb Drive. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly. His name was not released as it might identify the victim in the matter.
