CORNWALL, Ontario – A popular Cornwall golf and mini putt course is ready to show that you’re never too young to hit a hole-in-one.

Archie’s Family Golf Centre in Cornwall will be offering free golf to kids under the age of 16, who are accompanied by a paying adult during the ‘Take a Kid to the Course Week’ program taking place Monday, July 7 to Sunday, July 13.

“Golf is a game for life and a game for all,” said Carol Ann Campbell, owner and LPGA teaching professional at Archie’s.

The program was developed by the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada (NGCOA) to encourage families and juniors to take up the game of golf.

“This cross-Canada campaign is designed to illustrate how easy it is to improve both your score and your relationship with your children by bringing them out to the golf course,” said Campbell.

In addition, Archie’s has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cornwall & District to offer free Par 3 or mini putt to any of its members for the same week.

“Archie’s has always welcomed young players and this week provides us the opportunity to expand upon our offerings,” she said. “We are proud to partner with the NGCOA and the Take a Kid initiative.”

Golfstream Travel has generously donated the grand prize consisting of roundtrip airfare to Ocean City, Maryland from any major Canadian airport, four nights’ accommodation and four rounds of golf.

Archie’s Family Golf Centre is located at 1719 Vincent Massey Drive. Summer hours: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, call 613-932-8255 or visit www.facebook.com/Archiesgolf.
