CORNWALL, Ontairo – After taking six of a possible nine points last weekend, the Nationals will look to keep the momentum going with a pair of upcoming road contests.

Last Sunday, Cornwall climbed into a tie for fourth place in the Federal Hockey League standings and will look to move up higher this weekend.

The Nationals travel to Danbury to take on the Titans on Friday night (7:15 p.m.) and on Saturday, Cornwall visits the Berlin River Drivers (7 p.m.).

Cornwall is back on home ice the following weekend when it hosts Berlin on Saturday, Dec. 3 (7:30 p.m.) and Port Huron on Sunday, Dec. 4 (1 p.m.).

The Nationals will hold their first Teddy Bear Toss, which has become an exciting local tradition. The Sparky Toy Teddy Bear Toss will be held Sunday, Dec. 4.

ATTENDANCE: Cornwall currently ranks third in the FHL in average attendance with 902 per game (three home games). Only Danville (1,306) and Port Huron (1,055) are higher.

LEAGUE STATS: The Nationals’ powerplay ranks second in the FHL at 20.0% (6-for-30). Danville leads the FHL with 10 powerplay goals … Cornwall has a penalty kill percentage of 82.4, which ranks fifth in the league … The Nationals are second in the FHL with two shorthanded goals. Berlin leads with four.

INDIVIDUAL STATS: Lou Dickenson and Jason Dolgy are tied for fourth in FHL scoring with 12 points each. Anthony Mezzagno and MJ Graham are tied for ninth, each with 10 points … Mezzagno and Dickenson are tied for third in the FHL in goals (seven) … Dolgy leads the league in assists (nine), while Sylvester Bzdyl is tied for second with eight … Defenceman Kris McCarthy ranks fourth in the FHL with 37 penalty minutes … Dickenson leads the league with two shorthanded goals.
